Join thousands on Sunday, April 22nd for the 30th anniversary of AIDS Walk Miami. The 5K walk-a-thon fundraiser through the picturesque streets of South Beach begins at 9 a.m. Sunday at Soundscape Park, adjacent to the New World Center on Miami Beach, with a route along Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive. This year’s event will be led by grand marshal and Telemundo host, Jorge Bernal. The walk raises funds to support Care Resource and Food for Life Network food bank.
The walk is followed by an exciting celebration at Soundscape Park with live music on stage, complimentary massages from Educating Hands School of Massage, beverages, goodies, games, giveaways and so much more.
AIDS Walk Miami, benefits over 15,000 individuals living in Miami-Dade and Broward Communities who have been affected by or infected with HIV/AIDS.
According to their website, the event continues to be Miami’s largest HIV/AIDS awareness fundraiser and continues to attract thousands of participants who walk for different reasons, but walk together for one common cause: to support Care Resource and Food For Life Network food bank and its work to prevent new infections, maximize the health outcomes of those infected, and to end the epidemic in South Florida.
Care Resource is South Florida’s oldest and largest HIV/AIDS community organization providing Primary Medical Care, Dental, Psychosocial, Case Management, Outreach, Prevention and Education to over 15,000 residents living in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties who are either affected by or infected with HIV/AIDS.
