University Commons Boca Raton

Police say a teenage boy has been arrested in connection to three BB gun shootings reported in the last 5 days in Boca Raton. Authorities have not released the teen’s name or age.

At least two people were hit by BB gunfire at the University Commons shopping center on Glades Road and Northwest 15th Avenue, a bustling area of Boca Raton which features Whole Foods and Barnes & Noble. Authorities believe the teen is responsible for the shootings.

Records show that the boy fired from inside a white vehicle and the victims appeared to be random, as he fired at anyone within his range.

At this time, police have not identified the victims, but describe them as juveniles. There is no word on their injuries.

All three shootings took place within a close vicinity, however; the exact locations of the other shootings have not been disclosed.

The teen has been charged with four counts of battery.
