A Palm Beach County man, Jackson Pridemore, 49, was arrested and charged with sexual assault on a child under the age of 12. The charge comes after a now 13-year-old-girl’s mother found a diary entry detailing how Pridemore raped her for about three years.

The girl was only 7 years old when her mother and she began living with Pridemore. When her mother left for work, Pridemore would allegedly rape the girl. According to the arrest report which cites the child’s diary, the assaults went on for about three years, even after he was no longer living with the child.

According to Boynton Beach police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater, Pridemore’s record shows he had been accused of raping other children in Boynton Beach. She states that detectives believe there could be more victims.

Police say Pridemore had a pattern of moving in with single mothers of young girls. When he was apprehended at his Palm Beach County home west of Boynton Beach, he was found again living with a single mother.

As for the young girl who’s diary led to Pridemore’s arrest, she and her mother have been living in Kentucky for the last year.

The Boynton Beach Police Department’s Twitter account reported that 2 victims have identified Pridemore, but they believe there are more.

Boynton Beach Police are asking that anyone who has been a victim of or has information regarding Jackson Pridemore, contact the police department at 561-732-8116.
