Hold on to your holiday hats! – Brightline says its high speed connector between West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale will start running in December!
The train, which is the fastest and newest in the country, will bring passengers directly to and from West Palm Beach and downtown Ft. Lauderdale.
The straight WPB to Ft. Lauderdale trip is just part of what Brightline has in store for its Florida travelers. The company plans to add trip extensions all the way south to Miami soon and reach as far north as Orlando in the future.
The news of the train route starting is great, but some folks wonder if the highly anticipated super train will actually be ready in December. Since original reports aimed for a June start date, the months have waxed on, but the Brightline route has not yet opened to the public.
Furthering the skepticism is the fact that Brightline has not commented on an exact opening date, nor has it released the operating schedule or the fee scale.
Even with these concerns, business owners are hopeful that the service could be running soon and delivering fresh new customers to their establishments.
Small business owners who were hoping to see a boost during the Summer months are now looking forward to Brightline bringing them a high speed holiday season.
