Dressed to Steal! South Florida Bank Robber dubbed ‘Business Bandit’
Surveillance cameras captured images of a man believed to be responsible for a chain of South Florida bank robberies, but his appearance is much more gentlemanly than his actions.
The well dressed criminal has sported what appears to be designer apparel including a stylish vest, tie, and ascot cap. The suspect has a finely trimmed beard shadow and mustache as well as upscale eyewear.
Most of the robberies have been in banks in Palm Beach County, but the latest connection is a Miami Lakes banks in Miami-Dade County.
The FBI believes the man is also responsible for robberies that took place last month at two banks in Boca Raton and one in Palm Beach Gardens.
The Boca Raton banks were a SunTrust branch at 9885 Glades Rd, on November 7 and a Wells Fargo branch at Glades and Lyons roads on November 17. Officials believe the suspect is also responsible for a robbery at the PNC Bank branch on Military Trail north of PGA Boulevard on November 10.
Authorities have nicknamed the man the “Business Bandit” due to his professional looking attire.
