Driver flees Porsche after Palm Beach crash leaves two men dead

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of a Porsche sped past a Greenacres stop sign at Second Street and Swain Boulevard and caused a crash which killed two men on Saturday. The driver then fled on foot, leaving the vehicle behind.

Authorities are still searching for the driver who was behind the wheel of a silver 2013 Porsche Panamera. The car was heading north on Swain Boulevard around 3:30 a.m. at a high rate of speed – with no headlights – when it blew through the stop and crashed into a 2007 Honda CRV.

Both deceased men were passengers in the Honda. They have been identified as twenty-nine-year-old Juan Hernandez and Angel Xon, 47, both men reside in West Palm Beach. The two were thrown from the car, according to the sheriff’s office.

Jamie Avila of Greenacres, 43, the driver of the Honda, suffered minor injuries.

Officials are still searching for the driver of the Porsche.
