If you think you’ve got talent as a singer or musician, your big break could be to wow thousands during a football game.
As part of the lead-up celebration to the 4th Annual Boca Raton Bowl, set for 7 p.m. Dec. 19 at Florida Atlantic University’s football stadium, the winner of “Boca Raton Bowl Idol” will get to perform the national anthem – live!
The Idol winner will also receive a prize including 10 tickets to the game. Competitors for both for vocal and instrumental performances can begin submitting entries now.
According to the Boca Raton Bowl’s website, Football teams will go head to head while the bowl is aired live on ESPN.
This is the first year of the “American Idol”-like competition associated with the Boca Bowl.
To enter, you must be a Florida resident and at least 13 years old. Submission videos must include raw audio, be in English and only contain the first verse of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Get warmed-up now, because online entries must be sent in by July 9.
The competition is then opened to public vote until July 23 via an online poll. Selected judges and the public will ultimately narrow the list to three finalists before a winner is crowned.
