Palm Beach County sets record high graduation rates
South Florida’s Palm Beach County schools have set a record with an 85 percent graduation rate. The impressive number includes most of the district-operated high schools reaching a graduation rate of 90 percent or higher.
Riviera Beach’s Suncoast High and Delray Beach’s Village Academy made exemplary grades with each attaining a 100 percent graduation rate.
Overall, the district boosted it’s success rate more than 2.5 percent – up from 82.3 percent the previous year. The statistic includes all of Palm Beach County’s district-run and charter schools, according to the Department of Education.
Superintendent of the School District of Palm Beach County, Robert Avossa, credits the District’s strategic plan for the graduation success.
