What do you do to appeal to the selective South Florida clientele of 2018? Open a brewery!
Brew houses are popping up in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties. At least eight are slated for opening in the new year.
Wild ales and probiotic bacteria are just some of the twists you’ll see at the area’s ingenious new breweries. Not everything is New Age; some very Old-World style selections like rum-barrel-aged and sour beers brewed with live bacteria.
Antique French oak barrels are making a return for this generation of beer connoisseurs along with crazy concoctions with notes of peanut butter or tropical fruit.
What sets these new contenders apart from typical taps? Rotating menus and off-the-wall flavors, for beginners. Some believe it’s in the brewing methods which utilize the best techniques from thousands of years of beer making. Others believe it’s all about the fermentation process, not the hops or grains.
We think you should decide by tasting. So here is a list of the intended South Florida establishments complete with locations that just might tempt you to sample the entire lot.
