Unfathomable loss has struck a West Palm Beach family. Both young parents have died within the month, and have left behind newborn twins and a toddler.
Stephanie Caceres was grieving over the loss of her boyfriend, Jevaughn Suckoo, 26, who was shot and killed outside of their West Palm Beach apartment on July 11.
Suckoo and Caceres had been looking forward to becoming parents again, this time to twins. The couple, who also had a twenty-one-month-old, were just weeks away from the twins’ birth when Suckoo was shockingly killed.
Just three days later, on the same day as Suckoo’s funeral, Caceres delivered twins, Jevaugh Jr., and Lailah. Thankfully, the newborns are reportedly healthy. But things did not go well for Caceres, who developed an infection. The 26-year-old mother of three, bravely battled the illness. Tragically, twelve days after the twins birth, she died on July 26.
According to their fundraising website page, the three babies will be cared for by their grandparents. Family members such as Suckoo’s aunt, are also helping out. She stated, “we’re just trying to figure out how to move forward.”
The pediatric office where Caceres worked, has organized a fundraiser and is accepting donations to aid the newborns and toddler.
